With the hot weather fast approaching, it’s too easy to reach into the fridge and stuff your face with a caramel Drumstick. Or many.
Fight the temptation into the Land of the Heiffers and opt for some healthy snacks instead.
Try freezing some grapes, cherries (stones removed), wedges of orange and mango. You can also puree/mash other fruits like kiwi, apple, watermelon, peach, berries and pear and freeze in ice-cube trays to nibble on later or drop in a glass of cold water. Also, opt for sorbets instead of creamy ice-creams- in fact, you could even concoct your own fantastic sorbet recipe. I’m no help…all my sorbets end up with copious amount of liqueur in them for some reason. But just because I am wonderful and get my jollies off talking about food, I happened to find a wonderful recipe to share with you.
